The cool summer breeze set the mood for a fun filled night at Casa Picola on Wednesday last. The place is well known for its Italian treats virtually transformed into a karaoke joint. Large groups of Chennai’s musical voices were present to enjoy the Al Fresco treat. The cane furniture and bean bags were taken by people immersed in conversations dotted with laughter while downing their drinks. The scene was perfect for the singing groups indulging in impromptu musical attempts as usual. The crowd was seen getting groovy at the tracks like ‘Californication’ and ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. A group of buddies named ‘The Wasted Mondays’ also got a chance to belt out some classics ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘My Generation’ in their own style. It was an occasion for the shy new talents had an opportunity to shed their jitterbugs to strike the right chords. Many of the city’s voices found a suitable platform to showcase their talents. Overall it was an evening to let their hair down and enjoy the karaoke. A refreshing musical Chennai summer evening indeed!
